industry specification

Communication is especially important in the semiconductor industry due to the cost of design and production. When chip design is delayed, the market window becomes smaller. The majority of chip designers are not native English speakers so clear communication is critical to protect the revenue stream.

I re-wrote and restructured the DFI specification to make it straightforward for native and non-native English speakers. The specification had been developed by expert contributors in the semiconductor, IP and electronic design automation (EDA) industries. I added my perspective developed over decades of working on teams with developers and engineers.
